This last week marked a milestone for Cococart—our remote team packed up from seven different countries and all convened in Iceland for our first company retreat!
We worked and strategized on exciting new projects and initiatives to grow, while also playing lots of games, getting to know each other, and exploring the beautiful scenery Iceland had to offer.
During the trip, we talked about the humble beginnings of our company from a two-man operation, and learned about the direction we want to take Cococart.
And part of that direction is establishing a strong culture with core values to guide us in everything that we do.
One of those core values is Playing to Win—and our company retreat is the perfect example of this value in action. Like a pro sports team, we not only have important roles to play, we also take time to bond well.
Other than playing to win, we also value ownership. Each and everyone of us takes full responsibility in what we’re working on to see things through the end.
At Cococart, we measure results, not activity. Retreats like these serve as a reminder that the team deserves to celebrate the impact of our work.
Building a valuable product that’s simple for the everyday user is ingrained in us. We keep it simple. Cut the clutter. And produce impactful products that’ll last.
The team at Cococart might have spent part of the week relaxing and enjoying beautiful Iceland and celebrating the past year’s wins, but we walked away knowing that we were only just getting started in our mission to shape the next generation of commerce.
